This trip to Romania was my 75th. Over
the past few years MTEE has been working with a Romanian Charity FAST based in
Sacele, we have seen great things done and the Better Home Project is one of the
most ambitious so far, May last year we started digging the foundations for
Sorin’s house in the village of Talungeni. This trip 13 volunteers went out with

November 2007
The Canal Boat Trust in Runcorn teamed
up with Mission to Eastern Europe to work on the Better Home project in
Tarlungeni. Members from The Nessie Club volunteered to work on this project for
a week to help build homes for families in critical situations. The group was

When you first enter Tarlungeni, it is easy to miss a whole community of people
living their lives in extreme poverty. However, if you look carefully to the
right as you cross the bridge over the Tarung River,

We have been given 6 AK10 Dialysis machines in full working order plus
spares. Most will go to the Cluj city dialysis wards as soon as
